Not military friendly. We were essentially ready to sign a contract for our wedding reception, and they were all on board until we inquired about a military clause. They sold the date out from under us without warning and only called with a vague apology and no alternatives. If you are military, you would be better off booking somewhere else. Springfield Country Club has been great so far for us!

I had the pleasure of officiating at a wedding at Penn Oaks Golf Club, this past weekend. It was a seamless and wonderful experience from start to finish. The support and attention to detail was top drawer. Ramona Swift was the wedding manager and she made herself completely available to me and to everyone involved with the wedding. From the outside in this place looks like a decent country club but to tell the truth it’s not a country club at all. For me the main reason was some old washed up cop who worked there as the range guy. Biggest jerks I have ever meet and made my experience awful and even got to a point we’re i thought about canceling the free membership they gave me and joining concord country club well I was thinking that until they took it away from me for my dad asking questions That it seemed like no one in the place had the answer to ever. They put false charges on my account and thought we were lying when questioning. This place is only good for old members who don’t know the difference between a slice and draw in golf and also some of the worst range balls know to man prolly made my game worse. But the main problem Is Paul. Paul. Paul

Having our wedding at Penn Oaks was, hands down, the best decision we could have made. I truly think you'd be hard-pressed to find another wedding venue in the area that keeps its grounds as meticulously, cares for its couples as deeply or commits itself to serving as delicious food, as Penn Oaks does. From start to finish, every single wait staff member that I encountered knew exactly what they were supposed to be doing on our wedding day. Our guests are still commenting on how beautiful the day was and exceptional the food and service was. Our coordinator, Dawn, made everything simple and truly knows how to guide a bride! The day-of coordinator, Lisa, consistently checked on me, my husband, and our families during the wedding day to make sure we had what we needed. I can't say enough good things!! Our wedding & reception simply would not have been the same anywhere else!

We were there this weekend for a baby shower and it was lovely! The club house was the perfect spot. They allowed personal decorating which made the event that much more special! Great food, convenient location, lots of free parking, beautiful atmosphere and very accommodating!!!

We knew we made the right choice with going with Penn Oaks for our wedding since the start. Our first time there everyone was so nice and welcoming unlike any other venue my husband and I viewed. We were offered drinks and provided with hor deurves, something so small that meant so much to us that no other venue we viewed even thought to do. Dawn had sold us from the start. We knew she was someone that we wanted to work with and be surrounded by on our wedding day. Dawn was so helpful throughout the planning and provided extremely helpful tips throughout. Dawn did AMAZING decorating and truly brought everything I had envisioned to life. On our wedding day, we also worked with Lisa who was so sweet, calm and attentive to all of our needs. On our wedding everyone took such amazing care of my husband and I. I mentioned to the wait staff one time that I loved the spring rolls and every wait staff who had spring rolls made to sure to stop by me because "they heard the bride loved the spring rolls". The food was incredible and our guests are still talking about it! The grounds were also amazing. There are so much included in their packages that you truly cannot go wrong. Penn Oaks truly went above and beyond for our wedding day and we cannot thank you enough! We look forward to coming back for our one year anniversary dinner! Thank you!!

Brides beware! I booked Penn Oaks in early 2019 and had my wedding there on 8/8/20. Leading up to the big day, I had nothing but wonderful things to say about Penn Oaks. With the pandemic, wedding planning was so stressful but thankfully Penn Oaks was able to accommodate us with minor adjustments for safety. Then comes the day of the final payment. No issues at all with getting our invoice prepared and scheduling a meeting to drop off the check. After that last encounter, everything went south FAST. Once they received our money, they were already moving on to the next wedding and no longer had any care about our big day. We ran into multiple issues day of that were entirely produced by their incredibly unprofessional staff. 1) they were impossible with decorating for my wedding. My aunt came and did the bulk of the work but they fought her tooth and nail all day while she was decorating coming up with new rules that they never mentioned before. 2) in the morning while getting ready in the bridal suite Ramona came in and yelled at my bridal party for wearing pajamas to use the restrooms (it was our getting ready PJs I spent a fortune on - mind you!) and had my bridal party, MUA and hair stylist, and myself in shock and livid. I immediately asked to speak to my coordinator and was disgusted that an actual staff member would come in a YELL at my bridal party and myself. 3) End of the night. There was countless we were told they would pack up our decorations and such and we would be able to pick them up the next morning. I kid you not, at 11:05 PM a staff member (Lisa) came in and asked who was cleaning up my wedding and when I explained no one we were told multiple times Penn Oaks would and we would be back in the morning, she rolled her eyes and said that wasn’t the case. My husband and I didn’t sleep that night. Showed up at Penn Oaks at 7 am and nothing was cleaned up or packed up. In fact, many of my expensive decorations were destroyed from the dew sitting on them for hours. A few items including my champagne flutes are still missing. The photo booth which was including in our very expensive package was never opened until late in the night and no one maintained it so I never received those pictures. At 9:54 a group of our guests were told NOT to touch our end of the station that would open at 10. The food was already there and paid for so no idea how that happened. They never put out our yard games which we added for social distancing purposes. The worst part of writing this is the heart break. I loved Penn Oaks and told so many brides to have their wedding their ESPECIALLY during covid. We left with nothing but sick feelings about the way we were treated. I personally emailed Steve to have a discussion about this before posting the review in hopes that I could end this by saying things were reconciled but after two weeks and no answer, I’m going to do what I think is fair for other brides. My other vendors kept the night amazing and flawless outside of the horrible service of Penn Oaks. I will also give credit where it’s due - the food was amazing and the grounds are beautiful. In retrospect, I wish I chose a different venue because most venues are beautiful and have amazing food but treat their costumers with respect even after the final payment.

I just had a COVID wedding at Penn Oaks in their pub patio room. It was a beautiful room however the whole event had its ups and downs. From a wedding spectator, the wedding went very smoothly, but from the bride's view, it did not. To start with the ups - the venue was beautiful, Lisa the banquet coordinator was so helpful and kind, the food was great, the serving staff was great (some issues with staff taking their masks on and off) and again it ran really smoothly.For the downs - to sum it up, Ramona was not pleasant to work with at times. She was great in the planning process by responding to emails so quickly, however, I brought in my own day-of coordinator for my wedding day (to be there for the wedding party - not to help with the venue) as she was a part of my pre-COVID plans and she was such an incredible person to work with, I didn’t want to lose her! Ramona was so incredibly rude to her (my day-of coordinator) and my photographers. My bridal party also didn’t enjoy being around by Ramona. She ordered them around and at one point yelled at my day-of coordinator to “not tell her staff what to do” after she only asked a question as to why the food wasn’t as planned (my photographer can back me up on this as she was standing right there).I also cannot explain how UPSET I was when the ceremony was planned to start in 2 minutes after we just had gotten back from photos, and I said to Ramona I needed 5-10 minutes to sit down, eat a granola bar, and confirm that the live stream was working for our families who could not attend. I was IGNORED and Ramona proceeded to line up the bridal party and get things moving. I was NEVER even asked or told if I was ready to start the ceremony. Luckily, the live stream was up and running but there was no communication in regards to something that was so important to me. My groom was directed to get his groomsman in place and again was NOT asked if all family had arrived and if we were ready to start.Luckily, my day-of coordinator (who again I hired privately who was there for me), helped make the day run so smoothly and had tough skin, as Ramona was so incredibly rude to her. Ramona was too narrow-minded and not friendly to any of my vendors or wedding party. They felt very unwelcome as Ramona only cared about the second wedding coming later in the day (my wedding was an afternoon wedding). It seemed like she just wanted us in and out as fast as possible before “the other bride” arrived and started to get ready. Again, the food was great along with the serving staff, but I would not recommend this place to anyone who has to work with Ramona.

If you’re considering Penn Oaks for your wedding, I recommend you look elsewhere. We thought they were a great venue to work with, until Covid hit. Our wedding was originally scheduled for 8/22 of this year, and in mid-June we reached out wanting to reschedule. We were told that wasn’t possible because we were going “out of order” and advised that if we insisted it would be 3-5x the original deposit to move to a summer date in 2021, or we could pay the same costs for an off date in the winter (mind you they charge a smaller fee for a winter wedding to begin with). After WEEKS of trying to speak with management and countless scheduled calls they never showed for, we finally speak to the GM and feel like he’s heard us and is willing to work with us. The new contract comes, with new wording, and a $3500 fee to secure the new date, due immediately. We let them know we feel blindsided, and after another week of not receiving scheduled calls, finally speak to the GM again. This time, he’s not nearly as polite. After screaming at my now husband and assuring him we’re the most difficult couple they’ve had to work with, we inform him we’d like to part ways and void the contract. Fast forward to a week before our originally scheduled wedding and I reach out to check on the status of our return, as PAs current Covid guidelines ensured we’d receive a refund per the cancellation agreement, and our coordinator refuses to give us any answers; that our “case” has been forwarded to the finance team. Thankfully, getting our refund check was a smooth process from here. Covid has brought on crazy Scenarios for everyone, and has shown a lot of people’s/businesses true colors. I highly advise you look elsewhere before banking on Penn Oaks to support you for one of the most special days of your life.

Absolutely love this venue! I've been to a few weddings here and every single time the food is exceptional and the staff is so friendly and accommodating. I definitely will look here in the future for my own wedding!

This venue have a great space for vendors such as us (photo booths) to set-up outside and look fantastic! They gave us one table for props and another table with linen clothing for the scrapbook which was very helpful to coordinate the dynamic of the photo booth.That way while people was very comfortable writing something, other people was choosing their props for their photos.

Getting married is stressful enough but during a pandemic = Crazy! Working with Penn Oaks made the experience so easy. They were very accommodating with everything!!!! Carina may me feel comfortable with all our decisions to ensure our guests were safe and having a great time! All our guests loved the great food provided by Penn Oaks. I would definitely recommend Penn Oaks and would definitely have events there again!!!!

Beautiful location. Nice facility. Great staff. Great food. My only complaint was that I felt rushed to eat my food. Plates were being taken so fast that I had to make sure I was done or if I looked away it was gone. No problem with appetizers or bar service. Just the meal.i'm

Penn Oaks has to be the best wedding venue in all of Chester County and Ramona has to be the best wedding coordinator! Penn Oaks made planning my wedding a happy and smooth process. For starters the place is beautiful! You will not get one bad photo here. Multiple guests told us it was the most beautiful setting they’ve been to. The food was fantastic and every employee was attentive and helpful during cocktail hour and the reception. Penn Oaks managed to fulfill every expectation I had and more! They go above and beyond to make the day special for you and I never thought my wedding coordinator would also help to fluff my gown for photos or help carry my train through the grounds to get the best shot! You can’t go wrong with picking them for your wedding and you’ll absolutely love your time here!

We cannot say enough about how amazing of a venue Penn Oaks is! The day we went to visit Penn Oaks while still deciding on a venue, we were visiting another venue immediately after. Dawn Claffey gave us the tour of the venue and sat down with us to discuss every aspect of the venue, our wedding planning, everything Penn Oaks has to offer, and just made casual conversation with us as well. The second venue we visited was a completely different experience, and it was because the coordinator was just not as personable as Dawn, so we immediately decided on Penn Oaks that night. Not only is Dawn a great person but she is extremely knowledgeable and gave us extremely valuable feedback and insight all the way through the wedding planning process and made planning the wedding all that much easier on us. When working with other vendors we would tell them the reception was at Penn Oaks and they all had great things to say; this continued to make us more excited for the big day. On our wedding day the venue was beautiful, and everything was incredibly well-organized from the cocktail hour all the way through dinner and the end of the night. The food was fantastic, and every single person working that night was so great and friendly. The bartenders were quick but also extremely pleasant. We opted for the fireworks, and it was absolutely worth it. Our guests have had nothing but great things to say about our wedding, and we could not be happier with our choice to go with Penn Oaks!

My family and I have hosted two separate events here at Penn Oaks. We’ve been blown away both times by the staff, the service and atmosphere. The menu selections were great for both events, the staff were friendly and payed so much attention to detail. I would hands down recommend this place to anyone and definitely see my self booking other events with them. You will not be disappointed!

Our wedding day at Penn Oaks was absolutely PERFECT. The entire experience was amazing - especially working with Ramona from Penn Oaks. Ramona helped us with everything, down to the smallest of details. She was the perfect coordinator and helped our day go off without a hitch. The food, the staff, and the atmosphere really helped make our wedding a memorable day. We decided to go for a brunch style wedding and they knocked it out of the park. If you are looking for a place in the Philly area to host your wedding, we would highly recommend reaching out to Penn Oaks!! 10/10!!

Wonderful! The team at Penn Oaks is simply amazing. We hosted a baby shower in the patio room recently and Carina was our events coordinator. She is awesome to work with and was super accommodating. The venue is beautiful and the food was outstanding. Our guests mentioned to us that it was the most beautiful shower they ever attended! Here is the surprise...we visited several other facilities in the area and Penn Oaks was the BEST value!

We got married at Penn Oaks May 1, 2022. We had an amazing experience working with Carina throughout the whole process. The bridal suite was so nice to get ready in for pictures and the outside tent patio was great for the ceremony and reception. The grounds were a great backdrop to our wedding photos. I would 10/10 recommend Penn Oaks for your wedding.

I was at a dinner meeting. The room was very pretty. The tables were nicely set. The food was delicious! The waiters were excellent! The audio visual facilities were well prepared. The only thing that was inconvenient was the parking. I am handicapped and the walk up to the entrance was daunting. But when l left, a waiter said he would drive me to my car in a golf cart. But they were locked up so a very sweet young lady came out and said she would go get my car and bring it up to me. She was very kind and accommodating! I would recommend this place very highly.

Choose Penn Oaks for your wedding day! We toured about 15 venues when we first got engaged, and Penn Oaks checked every single box for us: beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces, great food, actually affordable packages and amazing service. From the second we met Carina, she was the absolute best! Throughout our nearly two years of planning, she was super responsive to emails and texts and was always there to give advice and answer my million questions. We did the William Penn package with six additional food stations—including enhanced dessert options and a late night station with hoagies and pretzels—and a photo booth that everyone loved. Our guests raved about our cocktail hour with crab cake sliders, cheesesteaks, french fry bar, 10 passed hors d'oeuvres and more. We opted for the fireworks and it was so worth it! Everyone was so wowed and the photos and videos were incredible. The only regret I have from our wedding is that we couldn't attend it as a guest. I will recommend it to everyone!

Penn Oaks exceeded our expectations for our wedding! From our first meeting- Ramona, our wedding coordinator delivered. She provided every detail about the venue/the food/the bar/ the dance floor/the photo opps. We left that 1st meeting confident that Penn Oaks was where we wanted our wedding!Ramona was a fabulous coordinator- she held our hands & prodded us when we might be coming close to a deadline. We were met with professionalism & courtesy in every dealing with Penn Oaks. Ramona is a great communicator and she really loves making the event a special one for you. The bridal suite- a relaxing, spacious room to enjoy prior to the wedding. The outside garden provides the perfect ambiance for our ceremony. The patio- an open-air terrace for cocktail hour-plenty of room for guests to enjoy cocktails & hor d'oeuvres.Lisa- (catering coordinator)- was spectacular at making sure that all of the guests were served promptly. Food was served hot and delicious!. The staff were polite to all of our guests. We were very happy with everything from ceremony/cocktail hour/dinner at Penn Oaks.When we walked into Penn Oaks- we had every confidence that Penn Oaks would make our wedding day a special day. They surpassed our expectations- it was an awesome day enjoyed by all.

Our wedding at Penn oaks was an absolute pleasure everything from the food and venue was absolutely fantastic, and Carina is an absolute Rockstar and we couldn't have asked for a better wedding coordinator I would recommend the venue to anyone, but the one thing that needs to be addressed is the banquet managers attitude I had several vendors and guests complain to me about her attitude to them which I would prefer not to deal with on my wedding day. Other then that we could not have asked for a better than you and coordinator thank you for everything.

We chose Penn Oaks for our October 2022 wedding and couldn’t have been more pleased with how smoothly everything went that day! Ramona was our coordinator, and I would highly recommend her. She was so responsive anytime I had a question and would respond after hours even. She helped coordinate our tasting, helped us choose the decor and linens for the tables, and guided us through the rehearsal. She gave us so many recommendations and tips and really helped ease any concerns that we had. We felt really comfortable with choosing Penn Oaks as a venue overall and all the staff was courteous and thoughtful. Our food was amazing as well, and the food during cocktail hour was especially delicious. We lucked out with the weather and had a beautiful fall day for our wedding, especially considering our wedding was outdoors. It was everything we hoped it would be. We chose to use Penn Oaks for my sister’s bridal shower in February 2023. We used Ramona as our point person and she was incredible to work with! She made the process so easy for my mom and I. It turned out incredible, from the seating & decor to the food. We were allowed to decorate the room as we wanted and everyone complimented on how great everything was. I would highly recommend to request Ramona for any event you plan on having here.

In 2021 my husband and I got engaged and started looking for venues for our April 2023 wedding. During our first visit at Penn Oaks, Carina took us and our parents on a tour of the venue. She was no pressure and ensured she’d be there for any questions we had. We were in constant communication. Carina was so responsive and answered ever question we had throughout the year and half that we were planning. The day of the wedding, all the staff was so attentive to us. Lisa, the banquet manager, checked on us often to ensure we had everything we needed. Carina executed all the set up for the ceremony and reception flawlessly. Once photos started Carina helped and followed me around ensuring my dress was held or placed properly for photos (She’s amazing). Once the reception was in full swing, Carina made sure we had everything we needed. From start to finish, she ensured leading up and during the wedding went smoothly. We highly recommend Penn Oaks and going with Carina! The are amazing and treat their guests like family! Thank you, Carina! And thank you Penn Oaks!
